Charles Xavier’s school for gifted mutants celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Debuting in September 1963, we’ve already seen a lot of superheroes come and go from the team of Cyclops, Jean Grey, Ice Man, Archangel and Beast to today’s multitude.

wiI’ve been a lover of LEGO since I was a kid, and that love hasn’t waned even though I’ve stepped on a bunch of them through the years. So when I heard that there was a LEGO movie being made, I was a bit excited about it, but then felt that maybe that was just gonna be a good clean fun film for babies.
Well, looks like I might actually enjoy it — even more than I enjoy LEGOs these days. A new trailer was just released for the movie and, between the presence of Batman, Wonderwoman, and the voice of Morgan Freeman, the film looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun.
Lending their voices to the film include Chris Pratt playing an otherwise ordinary LEGO builder whose misadventures unravel when he is recruited by a LEGO lady voiced by Elizabeth Banks thinking he is the masterbuilder.
Check out the trailer below. The LEGO Movie hits theaters February 7, 2014.
Director Tim Miller, who’s been attached to the Deadpool film recently gave an update on what’s happening with the “merc with the mouth” and whether fan would ever see him on the big screen.
Apparently, there’s good news and bad news. The good news being that they have already re-written the script and Ryan Reynolds (who played Deadpool is X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is still on board. However, they are still waiting for that elusive green light from 20th Century Fox to give this film a go.
In a recent interview with Yahoo, actor Ryan Reynolds said the film will have a hard R-rating — meaning, it will be ultra violent. And that Deadpool will be breaking the fourth wall (same thing he does in the comics).
OMG! I’m just so excited to see this film. Why cant it be made!?
The first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past has finally been released. While it did not show the sentinels or the war that subsequently killed most of the mutants, It did offer a glimpse of how Charles X. Xavier and Magneto, whose voices alternated along with Wolverine to provide narrative for the clip, joined forces to bring Logan (Hugh Jackman) back onto the past to turn things around.
Nick Robinson was quite a revelation this year when he starred in Kings of Summer as a teenager who escapes his father’s presence and lives with his friends in the woods. And we may see him yet again back in the wilderness, not with snakes or berries or fast food chicken (Kings of Summer reference there), but dinosaurs.
A new trailer was recently released by Disney on their upcoming animated film, Frozen. Created by the same people that brought us Tangled, I’d say there are some peculiar similarities. They have a horse too. But perhaps this film gives viewers a better sense of what the story is about.
Liam Neeson is back in his bad ass ways in the upcoming action flick Non Stop. The film follows an air marshall, Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) as he confronts an invisible menace threatening to killing a passenger on board his flight every twenty minutes.
